Introducing: Spred The Dub

South Florida is one of the last places I think of when I think "Reggae," for whatever reason. But I think it's about time I start giving this area some credit. More and more, reggae music from South Florida is finding its way into my inbox, and it seems to be getting better all the time - like these guys! Introducing, Spred The Dub, who play what they refer to as "Feel Good Reggae." As far as today's reggae-rock goes, these guys know what's up!

I'd describe their style of reggae as a mix between Sublime and Slightly Stoopid. But, that's not to say they're unoriginal. Don't get me wrong. You can tell the band comes from a wide array of musical background and interests - it shines through in their music. Taking a listen through their album, which was released this Spring, you can find hints of rock, jazz, funk and blues, all mixed with heavy basslines, twangy guitar riffs and some serious reverb and dubby breaks.

You can purchase their self titled album, "Spred The Dub," on iTunes or Amazon now!
